++REVIEWERS: ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES FOR POTENTIAL PUBLICATION (Please read):

NOTE: If you would like to be considered as a REVIEWER, please visit the [NameL3ss] Facebook page, and leave a PRIVATE MESSAGE. Alternatively, the [NameL3ss] website has a Contact Form for inquiries.

First: We DO NOT PAY for reviews.

We will run reviews on the NAMELESS website; the best of them may be printed yearly in the PRINT version of the magazine.

Second: What we are interested in seeing.

We are open to reviews of books, DVDs, CDs (music), comics/graphic novels, and current films (in theatres). We are open to reviewers bringing new things to our attention, and we will also send works out to be reviewed. We are interested in not only mainstream, large-scale efforts, but independent, and academic works as well.

Third: Categories for consideration.

We want to see critical (no softball) reviews of: fiction (including re-issues), nonfiction, artwork (books), poetry, films (including documentaries), TV series (old and new), websites, comics, magazines, music, conventions, and live acts. The reviews are subject to approval, and WILL BE edited for content, length, and concision. We are interested in provocative and/or unusual slants on topics.

The works for review MUST contain elements (or a combination) of any of the following genres: horror, science fiction, magical realism, dark fantasy, “weird”, alternate history, and so on.  If there is a question regarding content appropriateness, please write the Editor-in-Chief (Jason V Brock).

NO: sword and sorcery, steampunk, fan fiction, gore/torture porn, pornography, animal cruelty, high fantasy, romance, and so on. This is not a complete list. Query if there is a question.

Fourth: Other General Guidelines for Reviewers.

  1. LENGTH: Between 200 (capsule) and 1000 (complete) words. Expect to be edited.
  2. FORMAT: Word doc in standard manuscript formatting (see above).
  3. NEEDS: Must have the following data in the heading.

  • FOR FILMS/MUSIC: studio, director/stars/musician(s), year distributed, running time/songs, and format (DVD, CD, electronic only, and so on).

++++++++

OTHER LIMITATIONS: Materials are not returnable.
